IEPE Microphone Set

Preamplifier and Prepolarized Class 1 Microphone Capsule included

The MP30-Blast 1/2″ measurement microphone is designed for use with explosions or gas deflagrations. For precise measurement of pressure waves below 2 Hz, the optional MKS 222 E infrasound microphone capsule is available.

Typical applications include measuring blasts in mines and other acoustic events involving high sound pressure levels. Electrical connection is made via the permanently integrated BNC connector using standard BNC cables.

The MI-MKPL microphone holder is recommended for mounting the microphone. Accessories for 1/2″ measurement microphone capsules—such as windscreens or the MR40 rain protection set for continuous outdoor monitoring—can be used.

The measurement microphone can be calibrated using the 4010 sound calibrator (preferred) or other suitable sound pressure calibrators.
