The MP40-Ultra 1/4″ microphone enables the use of a high-quality, prepolarized MC14B microphone capsule with data acquisition (DAQ) systems featuring IEPE power supply.
Typical applications include measuring mining blasts and other acoustic events involving high sound pressure levels or ultrasonic phenomena up to 100 kHz.
The PA-01 1/2″ preamplifier is equipped with an A42 adapter (reducing 1/2″ to 1/4″), allowing for the use of prepolarized 1/2″ microphone capsules with higher sensitivity or different characteristics—such as the MK 222 E for infrasound measurements—when required.
Electrical connection is established via the integrated BNC connector using standard BNC cables.
The MI-MKPL microphone holder is recommended for mounting the microphone.
The measurement microphone features a Class 1 frequency response in accordance with IEC 61672.
